What is Unique Tracks Listened (UTL) and Song Repetition Index (SRI) and how is it
calculated?
Unique Tracks Listened (UTL) is the number of unique tracks that you have listened
i.e. the number of tracks you would have listened if you had never played a track
more than once.
Song Repetition Index (SRI) is calculated as : (Total tracks played) / (UTL). This
is basically the average number of times you have played a given song.
How does a low SRI indicate more 'active' listening habits?
A low SRI is good because it indicates that you tend to try out many songs instead
of listening to the same songs over and over again.
For example, take Bob and Alice who each have 10000 tracks scrobbled. Alice has
a SRI of 2 and Bob has SRI of 5. This means that Alice has listened to 10000/2 =
5000 unique tracks while Bob has listened to only 10000/5 = 2000 unique tracks.
Clearly Alice is a much more active listener than Bob.
However there's a limit to the number of unique tracks someone can listen and as
the total tracks scrobbled increase, so does the SRI. Therefore comparisons between
SRI should only be made for users with a similar total track count.
Why are my total tracks slightly lower than what it shows on my last.fm profile?
OR Why is it that my stats are still the same even though I have listened to more
songs this time around?
This is because I get your data only uptil the last completed week.
The date till which the results are obtained can be found out from the weekly charts on last.fm. For ex.
from here.
Fixing this is on the agenda but seems not possible as per the given API. If you have a suggestion,
please post
here
Why do I get 'No XmlHttp Support' error?
XmlHttp is disabled for your browser. Type 'Enable XmlHttp [Your Browser Name]'
on google to find out how to enabled XmlHttp. Also see the list of browsers supported
below.

What improvements are in the pipeline for the Song Recommendation tool?
First thing to be fixed will be the ability to sort the columns ( I'm too tired
right now :) ). I also need some suggestions for saving of the recommended songs
data.
I noticed a bug. What do I do?
Tell me about it on
my last.fm
profile. I'll fix it as soon as I can.
I like your tool. What can I do to show my appreciation?
Hey Thanks! You can just drop in a line on
my last.fm profile. Or you can buy me a
subscription if you wish.
